Review by CaseysMum From the moment the LeapFrog Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar arrived Zoey,4 has loved it.
She couldn’t wait for me to get it out of the box so she could have a go. Once she got hold of it she got the hang of it really quickly and started strumming and singing along to the songs. She worked out most of the buttons by herself as well as the fact that strumming it faster made the music speed up.
She’s been taking it with us when we go out so she can show all her friends as well, so this is a definite hit here.
I love the fact that it has a completely flat on top and the buttons don’t stick out, I think it’s less likely to break this way. Also one of my friends commented that she didn’t find it loud and annoying as a lot of other kids toys can be.

Select a song, play it as it is supposed to or silly fast, add drum fills and cool sound effects, play solo, or change the guitar sound Make every song unique. A few weeks ago, thanks to the folks at MomSelect , we had the opportunity to host a Leapfrog Touch Magic Rock n Learn Party featuring the new LeapFrog Touch Magic Rockin Guitar and the Touch Magic Learning Bus.

This mode offers various activities and games that teach children about music and introduce them to different instruments.

Leapfrog Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar & Learning Bus Review

Leapfrog sent me two new products, the Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar and the Touch Magic Learning Bus. We had a Rock ‘n Learn party with our cousins so we could try the products out.

The first product all of them wanted to try was the Rockin’ Guitar.

The kids had a lot of fun with this guitar. They enjoyed the songs that were in the guitar and liked pressing the silly sounds button. I liked that it had a strap so they could wear it like a real guitar. It also had an easy on/off button on the front which was nice so the kids could learn how to turn it off themselves.

After I opened the guitars I took the Learning Bus out.

I love toys that teach the alphabet while still being fun and the Learning Bus is definitely one of those types of toys. Along with learning the ABC’s there was also a musical feature to this toy. The toy has a keyboard and then the wheels are a cymbal and a drum. The animals in the windows of the bus tell a little about their instruments and then play music when touched.

Overall, I like the Touch Magic toys. Kids nowadays are used to playing games on touch screen smartphones so I liked that these had the touch play feature. The children preferred the Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar over the Learning Bus, but as a parent, I preferred the bus.

My only concern about these products is the durability of them. I am used to children’s toys being thicker and sturdier but these two toys seem a little flimsy. I am not sure how they will hold up but for about $25 each I think they are both still a wise investment.

(Disclosure: I received products from Leapfrog to review but all thoughts are my own.)

Kids can play solo or with a background song, also choosing between acoustic or electric guitar. (Electric was the preferred choice at my house.) The Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar promotes creativity and music role-play and there is no shortage of that when the guitars are out! The biggest component that I love about it is that it also promotes motor skills – the louder, the better for Molly! She loves it too – so many buttons to push with great sounds, particularly the applause button!

For example, children can follow along with the guitar's lights and buttons to play their favorite songs, or they can explore different instrument sounds by pressing the corresponding buttons. The Leapfrog Magic Guitar is not only a fun and entertaining toy but also an educational tool. It helps children develop their auditory perception, fine motor skills, and creativity. By experimenting with different sounds and melodies, children can enhance their musical abilities and develop a sense of rhythm and melody. In conclusion, the Leapfrog Magic Guitar is an interactive toy that offers children the opportunity to explore music and develop their creative skills. With its various buttons, strings, and sound effects, this toy provides hours of entertainment and educational value. Whether children are strumming the strings or pressing the buttons to create their own melodies, the Leapfrog Magic Guitar offers an engaging and immersive musical experience..
